EMOTRIONS RULES FOR ADVANCED PLAYERS
A great peculiarity of EmotrionsOnCards is that it enables you
to modulate your own desirable balance between Strategy, Psychology and
Luck if you choose to play using The Winner's Options.
The Winner's Options consists of
three privileges obtained by the winner of each hand:
a) The winner can decide whether the cards in the remaining stock
will face up or downwards
b) He/she will decide whether the stake will be done with the
cards facing up or downwards
c) And most important... he may demand that the game be played
in the Naked Style (see below)
The Winner's Options may combine any way the winner demands. When playing
a game it is compulsory to start the first hand with the Standard Style
(stakes upwards and stock downwards).
Playing with hidden stakes is better for intuitive people, with a sharp
emotional intelligence, people who can bluff and manage uncertainty. On
the other hand, lovers of sheer strategy and analytic players will enjoy
having all the cards in sight. And the fact that the next card from the
stock is thus seen by players could change the stakes, for you'll have
to decide whether it's worth it winning a trick, and makes decision-taking
more difficult.
The three components, Strategy, Psychology and Luck, are carefully balanced
in the Standard Style. The Winner's Options allow you to alter this balance,
and will make each player fight to impose their favourite style on their
opponents.
"Forced" Card Swap
If a player has got the Force, he/she can show it and demand a compulsory
swap. That will allow him/her to pick one card from any other player,
who must in turn take somebody else's, and so on. You'll be able to take
any card from the owner of the Force except from that very card. Only
one swap per trick is allowed, but as long as a player keeps the Force
card, he/she can demand another swap in each trick, to get a better hand.
You can't demand a Forced Card Swap if one of the players has three or
less cards left.
Forced Card Swap can only be used in the Standard Style.

Emotrions Lead
The Emotrions Lead can be used in games with two or three players. All
the players are given exactly the same "hand" of 6 cards: one Joy, one
Sadness, one Love, one Hatred, one Goodness, and one Fury.
All players begin the trick with a balanced hand which adds up to zero.
They know the other player's cards and they can improve their punctuation
by fighting against their opponents' good luck and intelligence.
The Emotrions Lead is excellent to settle duels in ruled competitions,
and can be used along with the Winner's Options. It's also handy to use
when somebody is not happy with their luck so far!
Score 37
In Score 37 it is compulsory to score 37 points to win, not more! The
players approaching this magic figure will have to work out very carefully
how much they must win or lose in each trick of the last hand. If they
get more than 37 or there's a draw, the two closest players will hold
a play-off until only one of them scores 37. This modality takes Emotrions
to a higher level of difficulty .
Naked Style: Total Challenge
The Naked Style, that is, playing with all the cards facing upwards,
in full view of their opponents, is perfect for those with analytical
intelligence, and strategy freaks! If you want to keep luck to the mimimun,
and focus solely on strategy, try a combination of Naked Style with Stock
Cards upwards and Emotrions Lead. Now this is pure strategy, and everything
will depend on the player's intelligence! For zero luck, full strategy
game try the upcoming EmotrionsOnBoard boardgame!
