The Emotrions Pareo™ Game

Emotrions Pareo™ is actually a different game, but using the same cards than EmotrionsOnCards®.

It's been designed for quick games between two players. In each trick the attacking player is the Challenger, and the defendant is the Pareo.

The game is apparently easy. The pareo must counter-attack the challenger's cards with exactly the same cards. The gist of the game is that the Pareo benefits when he's able to match the card, and the challenger when pareo is unable to match cards.

If Pareo manages to counter-attack using positive cards, he/she will get all the cards at stake as a prize, and if he/sheis able to match negative cards, the challenger must get them.

The Pareo has the posibility NOT to counter-attack ( either because he/she hasn't got the right cards or because she/he doesn't want to). In that case, if the challenging cards are positive, the Challenger gets it, and if the cards are negative, they must go to the Pareo.

The Indecision card assumes the value of the card at stake, so it always matches. An attack using Indecision can be matched with any other valid card combination.

Hunger, used either as an attack or as a response, "eats" all other cards, and throws them all out.

Force, used in both cases, always beats any other combination, except for Indecision and Hunger.

The Challenger is always the first to draw a card from the stock.

The lead (to be the next Challenger) always goes to the player with the highest score in the current trick. (in case of doubt look at the Pareo chart bellow)

You only take one card per player and trick, whether the challenger gets response from the Pareo or not. Thus, one player can accumulate more than six cards in a hand. If at the end of the last trick, one player has still got cards in his/her hand, he/she'll keep them.

In every other aspect, the rules are the same as in Standard Emotrions.
